Collecting The Motorhome

You will collect your campervan or motorhome from our UK Depot in East London.

When you arrive at our depot, please check-in at reception.
All driver's wishing to drive the rental vehicle will need to be present and provide their original identification documents in-order for them to drive the rental vehicle. 
Identification Required
Please allow approximately 1 hour to complete your paperwork and for your personalised familiarisation tour of the vehicle.
Once the paperwork has been completed, secuirty deposit paid and the rental agreements signed, a memeber of the Wests Motorhome hire team will show you around your campervan or motorhome.
We will show you how to operate all of the functions and facilities on board your camper. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions, even if you think they’re silly, we will have heard them before, and don’t be too embarrassed to make a few notes, there will be a lot of information to take in.

 

  • On your motorhome check-out tour we will show you how to use:
  • The motorhome keys (cab/ignition key, habitation door key and external lockers key, bike rack arms)
  • The driving controls 
  • Dash board controls
  • Gas locker (and that you know how to use the gas and how to replace a bottle)
  • The vehicle fuel-filler cap (all our campervans and motorhomes are diesel)
  • The fresh water-filler cap (be careful not to get the water and fuel caps mixed up)
  • The waste-water tap/lever
  • The fresh-water drain tap (only if you’re touring during the winter, as you might need to drain down the water tank in case it freezes)
  • The toilet-cassette hatch (and that you know how to empty the toilet cassette)
  • The electric hook-up point (and how to connect and disconnect the mains to the campervan or motorhome)
  • The bike rack
  • The campervan or motorhome control panel
  • The refrigerator
  • Oven/oven with grill
  • Hot water system
  • Blown air heating system
  • How to make the bed's
  • The toilet and washroom
  • The fire extinguisher and smoke alarm
  • The motorhome manuals (should require any further information about your rental campervan or motorhome)

 

Together we will also check over the campervan or motorhome for damage thoroughly before you set off. Any damage inside and outside will be noted on the rental check-out and check-in sheet agreement, to cover yourself against potential issues when returning the camper van or motor home.

The diesel fuel is expected to be at the same level as when you collected it (the level is also noted on your rental agreement), a fuel penalty charge applies if you return with the fuel under.


Adblue is supplied full and it must be returned back full or a re-filling charge will apply.

When you return the camper van or motorhome, please ensure it is clean and tidy inside (as received upon collection) with the toilet and cassette cleaned and emptied. Remove all your personal belongings and clean external lockers. 
You do not need to wash the exterior of the vehicle. 

Cleaning facilities are available at our London depot should you require them to cleaning the rental motorhome.  To take advantage of this you must arrive at least a minimum of 1 hour before your check in time, should you need to use this facility, if you are late or do not arrive a minimum of 1 hour before your check in time, you will not be able to use the cleaning facilities.  Vehicle must be handed/returned back on time so it can be made ready for the next hirer.   Please call us on 01708 556237 to advise us
